What is Title III?
Title III is a restrictive, formula-based, institutional aid program authorized by the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The program is designed to assist eligible institutions of higher education to establish and strengthen their physical plants, academic resources, and student services so that they may continue to participate in fulfilling the goal of equality of educational opportunity. Financial assistance is provided in the form of multi-year development grants to supplement implementation of the institutions' comprehensive development plans.
